Q – How do I book a Tour with Dublin Private Tour?
A – Firstly, click on the Tours page to find what are the main Tours we offer. After deciding which Tour or Tours you want to book then click on the “Book” link to the Tour of interest and then follow the instructions which should be clear on how to complete the booking. If you find anything unclear in the booking process then feel free to email me @ dublinprivatetour@gmail.com or send a whatsapp message to me on (+353) 872859028.
Separately, if you are looking for a personalised Tour suitable to your needs which is not one of our standard Tours or if you are looking for Tour for a Group of over 10 people, then please contact us by email at dublinprivatetour@gmail.com. We will then liaise with you to ensure we can arrange a suitable Tour for you.
Q – How is everything organised between our Booking and the meeting up for the start of the Tour?
A – All bookings made will receive an email confirmation once the booking is confirmed. When making the booking you will be asked to confirm what works best for you as a means of continued communication with me (James) at Dublin Private Tour. The choices will be by email, by text sms or by whatsapp message.
Once I have confirmation of what form of communication works best for you, I will then contact you by that method with details to confirm the important specific details of the Tour. I will also send you a message either the evening before of the morning of the Tour to touch base with you and to clarify that all is good and that I am looking forward to seeing you at the correct time and place etc………

Q – Why should I book a Tour with Dublin Private Tour?
A – Dublin Private Tour is run by me, James Hanby. I have been working as a Professional Full Time Tour Guide in Dublin since February 2013. In that time, I have given over 2,000 Tours in Dublin and received over 1,000 Five Star Reviews so you can take comfort in knowing that you will be in the hands of an experienced Guide.
I will be in contact with you in advance of the Tour to find out what are your particular interests and also to make sure all is clear about the Tour details/logistics. I will also be free to answer any questions by email or whatsapp message after the Tour is finished.
You will also be guaranteed a Tour with ME and only ME. With the competing Tour Companies you don’t really know which Guide you will get and what their level of experience or expertise is.
Q – How do we book a Personalised Tour suitable to our needs and interests?
A – If you feel the standard Tours offered are not suitable to what you are looking for or you may want to organise a Tour that combines aspects from our standard Tours then that is great.

Q – Do I need good walking ability for the City Walking Tours?
A – Firstly, it is important to remember that these Tours are Private Tours so the pace walked will always be at the discretion and suitability of each Client. In general, the Dublin Walking Tours I give include an average of 5 minutes at each stop and then on average 5 minutes leisurely walking between stops. When possible and if appropriate we can also take stops in areas where we can rest against a wall or where there is seating. If you have someone in your party who will struggle with any of this then best to contact us to organise a Personalised Private Tour and hopefully I can organise a Dublin Tour that will be suitable and appropriate for your Group.
Q – Is it suitable to have young Children on the Tours?
A – I have given numerous Dublin Walking Tours with young Children before and in general the kids enjoy the Tours. Again remember the Tours are Private so we can make changes to routes or take breaks at any time if the Client requests.
Q – What clothing is suitable for any Tour that includes walking in Dublin?
A – Unfortunately Dublin’s weather is a law to itself and it is feasible we could experience all four seasons on the same day! But don’t worry as it doesn’t actually rain as much in Dublin as people think but on any Dublin Walking Tour, I would always advise each person has a rain jacket and umbrellas for the Group just in case. Regardless, I would always advise on keeping a close eye on the weather forecast in advance of the Tour. The best website in my opinion for the checking the Dublin weather forecast is www.met.ie . Please make sure it is showing the forecast for “Dublin City”.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Q – What is the cancellation policy with Dublin Private Tour?
A – When a Customer has to cancel a Tour, my initial and main objective will be to liaise with the Client to try to rearrange the same Tour on a suitable date. If this is not feasible then the following policy is in place:
1 – Every booking will require a 60% non refundable deposit paid upon booking the Tour, which will not be refunded.
2 – The remaining 40% of the booking is to be paid by the start of the Tour. This can be paid online in advance or during the actual Tour itself. In the case of a cancellation prior to the Tour’s agreed starting time then this 40%, if paid in advance will be refunded.
3 – If the Tour has to be cancelled by the Provider (Dublin Private Tour) and not possible to rearrange, then any and all payments made will be fully reimbursed to the Customer by the Provider.
